Welcome to the new home of the Polonez Polish Song & Dance Ensemble of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada!
The Polonez Polish Song & Dance Ensemble is a group of folks dancers active in the city of Cambridge in the Southwestern region of the province of Ontario, Canada. The ensemble has a membership of more than 50 members, varying in age from 4 to 30. Instructed in 3 age groups, the ensemble meets once a week for practices, and throughout the year to perform at various local events.

Active for 78 years to date, Polonez promotes and performs a large and diverse selection of dances and songs from across the nation of Poland. A testament to the long and colourful history of the country, the dances performed by Polonez vary greatly in tempo and emotion; the costumes representing those of more humble livelihoods as well as those of grand social stature; the songs telling stories of joyful play in the fields to the extravagance of royal balls.

2011 marks a special year for the ensemble, as its senior-most members embark for the second time to the city of Rzeszow, Poland, to attend the 15th International Festival of Polish Song & Dance in July. Having attended the 14th festival in 2008, the ensemble is actively fundraising for the purposes of offsetting personal costs of the trip.
